PRIVACY · KITCHEN RENOVATION MALVERN

Privacy policy

This website has one job: to let someone with a kitchen in Malvern describe it and ask for a quote or a consultation. Everything collected here exists to serve that conversation, and this page names each piece of it in plain language — what arrives, why it is needed, where it sits and how to have it removed.

Who it applies to

Anyone who visits kitchenrenovationmalvern.com.au, or who sends an enquiry through a form published on it.

What it covers

The enquiry form, ordinary web-server records, and any cookies or measurement running on the site.

Where things sit

Enquiries are stored privately inside this site’s own WordPress installation. They are not sold and not added to a marketing list.

Section one

What is collected

Three streams, and no more than three. Two of them you control directly; the third is the ordinary record any website keeps of a page being served.

01

What you type into the enquiry form

The details you choose to enter when you get in touch: your name, an email address, a phone number, the suburb or location of the kitchen, the subject of the enquiry, any budget indication or preferred timeframe you want to give, and the message describing the project. Nothing is compulsory beyond what the form marks as required, and a sparse enquiry is still a useful one — the specifics can be worked out on the phone or in the room.

02

What arrives alongside a page request

Like any site, this one sits on a web server that keeps technical records: the IP address a request came from, the browser and device type, the page requested, and the date and time. These records help keep the site available, diagnose faults and block automated spam submissions. They are not used to build a profile of you.

03

Cookies and measurement

Small files may be placed in your browser so that the site works properly — remembering a form part-way through, for example, or keeping a session steady. Where website analytics is in use, it reports in aggregate: which guides and service pages are read, which pages people leave from, roughly where visitors are. That reporting is about the pages, not about you as an identified person. Every current browser lets you block or delete cookies; the site remains readable if you do.

Section two

Why it is collected, and what it is used for

An enquiry is read so that it can be answered. In practice that means replying to your message, arranging a consultation or measure in the kitchen itself, preparing a design and a quote against what you have described, and keeping a thread of correspondence so the next conversation starts where the last one finished.

Where a quote depends on someone else’s input — a cabinetmaker, a stone supplier, a tiler, an electrician — only the details relevant to that piece of work are passed on, such as the room’s measurements, the surfaces under consideration and the suburb. Contact details are shared with a trade only where they need to arrange access with you directly.

Boundaries

Not sold or rented. Enquiry details are never sold, rented or traded to third parties.

No automatic marketing. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to anything. There is no external mailing platform attached to this form.

No payments here. The site does not take payments or hold card or bank details, and it has no customer accounts or logins for visitors.

Only what you send. Nothing is purchased from data brokers to add to what you have written.

Section three

Storage, access and how long things are kept

Enquiries submitted through this website are stored privately within the site’s own WordPress installation and the hosting environment behind it, and a copy is generally sent on by email so it can be read and answered. Access is limited to the people who run Kitchen Renovation Malvern and to the hosting provider in the ordinary course of maintaining the server.

Enquiry records are kept while the conversation is live and afterwards for a reasonable period as a business record — a kitchen discussed one winter is often built the next, and it is useful to still have the original brief when someone comes back. Records that no longer serve a purpose are deleted, and you can ask for yours to be removed sooner.

Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it. No security arrangement is absolute, so please avoid sending identity documents, account numbers or other sensitive material through a web form — none of it is needed to quote a kitchen.

Links away from this site

Some guides point to manufacturers, suppliers or standards bodies so you can read a specification at its source. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else’s site, under their privacy practices rather than these. The same applies to any social platform the site links to.

Section four

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask what has been recorded about you, have something corrected, or ask for an enquiry to be deleted altogether. Send the request through the contact form and include the name and email address the original enquiry was sent with, so the right record can be found. If a request cannot be actioned in full — where a record has to be retained for legal or accounting reasons, for instance — the reason will be explained rather than ignored.

Practical notes

A   Cookies are yours to clear. Browser settings control what is stored and let you delete what is already there. Blocking cookies may affect a form remembering its state, nothing more.

B   Browse before you write. Reading the services, the twelve-stage process or the kitchen guides requires no details from you at all.

C   Children. This site is aimed at homeowners arranging renovation work and is not directed at children.

D   Updates. This policy may be revised as the site changes. The version published on this page is the one that applies.

PRIVACY ENQUIRIES

Ask about anything on this page

Questions about how information is handled, or a request to see or delete an enquiry, go through the same form as everything else. Write “privacy” in the subject line and it will be read as such.
